ABOUT
The Looking Glass 50 Miler is an extremely scenic tour of Pisgah in the shadow of Looking Glass Rock hitting multiple highlights, including; the infamous Art Loeb Trail, breathtaking views from the granite pluton of John Rock, the beautiful and large Cove Creek Falls, the delicate Slick Rock Falls, the intense Farlow Gap Trail, and the 5,000 ft+ summit of Pilot Mountain with massive views of the Davidson River Valley. The course is a great scenic and challenging race to end your trail racing year.

Course Discription
The course has a bit of everything, from technical singletrack, grassy double track, and gravel. The Art Loeb trail is the most challenging portion of the course with numerous ups and downs as it makes it climb up to Pilot Mtn. The latter half of the race gets a little easier with gentler trails and a few gravel sections. The beauty of this course is insane and is without a doubt the most beautiful 50 miler in the Southest! Course starts at Pilot Cove Luxury Cabins, but will end at the Pisgah Fish Hatchery. Shuttles will be provided from finish back to the start or your crew can pick you up there.

Aid stations will have at a minimum: Water and Gatorade. Minimum foods include: bananas, orange slices, potato chips, pretzels, PB&J, and M&Ms.

Extra Information
Packet Pick Up
Pre-Packet pickup will be held at Ecusta Brewing in Pisgah Forest from 5pm-8pm on Friday before the race.
Please pick up your packet early, however, we will have race day pickup from 4:00-4:50am race morning.
Need to Know
-Weather conditions can change drastically on the mountain. If race needs to be canceled due to extreme weather, the race will be rescheduled. No refunds will be given if you cannot attend the rescheduled date.
-You must carry required gear. This includes a rain shell, at least a 20oz water carrying device, a whistle, cell phone, and an emergency blanket.
-The start and finish locations are different. The race will start at Pilot Cove - Luxury Cabins and will end at the Pisgah Fish Hatchery. A free shuttle will be in place to get you back from the finish to your car at Pilot Cove.

Stay on marked trails, DO NOT CUT SWITCHBACKS!
Must carry required gear at all times.
Use proper trail etiquette when passing other runners
Be courteous to other trails users
No littering
Obey any race official's request
